Finally managed a drawing out of myself. Not the best, but at least something. Lazy R Us.

Ubuntu is treating me with nice stuff. After I struggled for an hour to install the scanner, it rewarded my effort with actually having the option of scanning just the lineart. No more photoshop struggling. Truly amazing feeling. I even colored, just for that. And with a mouse, too, since I gave my tablet for a test ride to a friend. I rule.

Practicing my inking and my coloring. Bought some more books that I won't ever study to their deepest. Or maybe I will, who knows.

I buy more art books than I can read, and I nearly never do, just browse through. But have to actually buy the books that I consider useful, to pacify the Gods of Art. It'll pay off. I know it will.

This week acquiring is a particularly good Superman comic book and another art book.
Superman #663, the Big Picture. Art by Carlos Pacheco and Jesus Merino. Bloody amazing.
The art book is The DC Comics Guide to Coloring and Lettering Comics. Don't know if it's good, I didn't read it all through yet. I have the DC Guide to Inking Comics too. Meditating on Amazon - Guide to penciling. Should just order it, and not wait till the local comic shop has it.
